From Clive Owen to Robert Downey Jr. in 3 steps
An artist I know once told me that there are only seven types of faces and each one of ours is just a variation of the original seven types. His hypothesis made sense to me, since all of us have common ancestors in Y-chromosomal Adam and Mitochondrial Eve. His theory also explained why I keep on seeing the same faces over and over again. I wish other people could see the world as I see. If they did they wouldn't forget how much alike all of us really are and maybe they'd be kinder to each other.
Clive Owen (left) and Javier Bardem (right)
| British actor Clive Owen ("Shoot 'Em Up", "Children of Men") has a Spanish counterpart in Javier Bardem ("No Country for Old Men", "Love in the Time of Cholera"). |
|
Javier Bardem (left) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan
(right)
|
Javier Bardem reminds me of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who came to prominence playing the role of Denny Duquette on "Gray's Anatomy". |
Robert Downey Jr. (left) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan
(right)
| After seeing "Iron Man" I realized that Jeffrey Dean Morgan looks a lot like Robert Downey Jr. Ever since I saw "Only you" I thought that Downey Jr. was a terrific actor. I'm glad that he was able to pull himself together and is doing so well now. I think it's about time he got the recognition he deserves. |

From Mike Myers to Yoda in 3 steps
Mike Myers (left) and Jason Gedrick (right)
| Mike Myers ("Austin Powers", "Shrek") who used to play my favorite SNL character Linda Richman reminds me of Jason Gedrick ("Boomtown", "Summer Catch"). |
|
Benjamin Bratt (left) and Jason Gedrick
(right)
|
Jason Gedrick's Hollywood celebrity look-alike is Benjamin Bratt ("The Cleaner", "Miss Congeniality"). |
Benjamin Bratt (left) and Yoda
(right)
| I don't know why Benjamin Bratt looks like a human version of Yoda to me, but he does. I guess all I can say is: "Explain not. Accept!" |
|
From Frances O'Connor to Brittany Murphy in 3 steps
Frances O'Connor (left) and Mira Sorvino (right)
| Frances O'Connor ("Cashmere Mafia", "AI") bears resemblance to Mira Sorvino ("Romy and Michele's High School Reunion", "Mighty Aphrodite"). |
|
Ashley Tisdale (left) and Mira Sorvino
(right)
|
From certain angles the star of "High School Musical" Ashley Tisdale looks like Mira Sorvino's younger sister. |
Brittany Murphy (left) and Ashley Tisdale
(right)
| Ashley Tisdale also reminds me of another very adorable actress - Brittany Murphy ("Uptown Girls", "Clueless"). |
|
From Jean Smart to Natalie Maine in 3 steps
Jean Smart (left) and Gail O'Grady (right)
| The first time I noticed Jean Smart was while I was watching reruns of "Designing Women" on LifeTime. Then, one day I caught an episode of "NYPD Blue" and thought that Jean Smart was the one playing the role of Donna Abandando. I did not figure out until I've seen a few more episodes that Abandando was played by Gail O'Grady. |
|
Gail O'Grady (left) and Charlize Theron
(right)
|
Gail O'Grady bears resemblance to an Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron ("North Country", "Monster"). In fact, I think that Theron can pass for O'Grady's younger sister. |
Natalie Maines (left) and Charlize Theron
(right)
| The South-African beauty also looks like the Dixie Chicks' lead vocalist Natalie Maines. If Maines' blonde hair were lighter she would've looked like a miniature version of Theron. |
|
From Stuart Townsend to Joely Richardson in 3 steps
Stuart Townsend (left) and Kim Raver (right)
|
The other half of the very adorable Townsend/Theron duo bears resemblance to the star of "24" and ""Lipstick Jungle" Kim Raver. |
Kim Raver (left) and Judy Greer
(right)
| Kim Raver also reminds me of Judy Greer, an actress who seems to play a best friend or a coworker of the main character in every movie she is in. I really like Greer and I hope that she doesn't get typecast in such characters forever. |
 |
Judy Greer (left) and Joely Richardson (right)
|
Joely Richardson who brings to life the character of Julia McNamara in "Nip/Tuck" looks like a slightly older and much blonder version of Judy Greer. |
From James Franco to Sean Astin in 3 steps
Heath Ledger (left) and James Franco (right)
| James Franco ("Spider-Man", "Pineapple Express") bears resemblance to the late Australian actor Heath Ledger. |
|
Heath Ledger (left) and Seth Rogen
(right)
|
Heath Ledger also resembled Seth Rogen, the super-funny star of "Superbad" and "Knocked Up". I hope that Rogen stays just the way he is. He is a sight for sore eyes among the ripped Hollywood men. I think the growing chubby majority of Americans should have more of their representatives in Hollywood, although Rogen, who is Canadian should technically count as a representative of chubby Canadians... |
Seth Rogen (left) and Sean Astin
(right)
| Seth Rogen also reminds me of my favorite hobbit Sean Astin. I don't know if anybody else noticed, but it seemed that Sam Gamgee (played by Astin in "Lord of the Rings") was gaining weight with each new episode of the series, which went against the story line. At first I was a bit bothered by this discrepancy in the movie, but then I chose to believe that he was swelling up from hunger... |

From Mickey Rourke to Cyd Schulte in 3 steps
William Shatner (left) and Mickey Rourke (right)
Sometimes as people age they go through very interesting transformations and start looking like other people who they didn't look like before. I think that's the case with William Shatner and Hollywood's bad boy (if the term 'boy' is still applicable) Mickey Rourke ("Nine 1/2 Weeks", "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man").
|
|
William Shatner (left) and Kathleen Turner
(right)
|
The wildly talented Kathleen Turner also reminds me of William Shatner, especially around the eyes. The first time I saw Ms. Turner was in "Romancing the Stone" and back then I thought that she looked a lot like my paternal grandmother, when the later was younger. I observed Ms. Turner through the years and was really amused that she retained her resemblance to my grandma as she got older. |
Kathleen Turner (left) and Cyd Schulte
(right)
| Kathleen Turner also has a younger celebrity look-alike, by the name of Cyd Schulte. |
|
From Ian Ziering to Steve Carell in 3 steps
Ian Ziering (left) and Anne Heche (right)
| The star of "Men in Trees" Anne Heche bears resemblance to Ian Ziering, an actor who made a name for himself playing Steve Sanders, one of the main characters of teen drama "Beverly Hills, 90210". |
|
Ian Ziering (left) and Reba McEntire
(right)
|
Ian Ziering also looks like the queen of country music and the star of her own TV show "Reba" - Reba McEntire. |
Steve Carell (left) and Reba McEntire
(right)
| If Steve Carell ("The Office", "Get Smart") were a red-haired female he would look like Reba McEntire. |
