Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International

I developed a chronic insomnia as a child, because I was terrified of the dark. I felt and heard things around me, which made me sleep with my head covered up with a blanket until my mid-twenties. For a while I thought that I might be suffering from some kind of psychosis, but I later found out that my symptoms might've been connected to my thyroid problems. But I digress... My fears turned into an interest in the paranormal, which combined with my overactive imagination insured an abundance of sleepless nights. As a semi-rational person I was eventually able to conquer my fears. As the death toll of the people close to me grew I was able to convince myself that I have a little army on the other side who would protect me from any bad entities. This thought was comforting enough for me to discard the habit of covering my head at night, but it didn't diminish my interest in all things mystical. I still enjoy a good paranormal mystery and "Ghost Hunters" provide plenty of it. I also love the story behind the TAPS founders. Plumbers by trade, they searched for ghosts at night and their unusual hobby made them stars of their own TV show. I don't believe that apart from the United States a story like theirs would ever be possible...

Grant Wilson (left) and Justin Bartha (right)

Grant Wilson (one of the TAPS co-founders) bears resemblance to Justin Bartha ("National Treasure", "Failure to Launch"), who consequently was born just a day before me.

Michael Chiklis (left) and Jason Hawes (right)
Michael Chiklis looks like TAPS Jason Hawes
I think it would be very hard for anybody to dispute that the first actor that comes to mind when you take a look at Jason Hawes would be Michael Chiklis ("The Shield", "Fantastic Four"). Both Hawes and Chiklis seem to be solid family men, which makes me wonder if the secret to finding a good husband is to pick one that's manly-looking and challenged in the hair coverage department...

Matthew Modine (left) and Dustin Pari (right)
Dustin Pari looks like Matthew Modine
Dustin Pari, who appears as investigator on "Ghost Hunters International" reminds me of younger and skinnier Matthew Modine ("Weeds", "The Bedford Diaries").

Peri Gilpin (left) and Donna Lacroix (right)
In my opinion Donna Lacroix bears an uncanny resemblance to Peri Gilpin (Roz Doyle on "Frasier").
Donna Lacroix is Peri Gilpin's look alike

Dave Tango (left) and Matt Dillon (right)

Dave Tango (Investigator/Evidence Analyst on "Ghost Hunters") looks like Matt Dillon ("There is something about Mary", "The Outsiders").
