Mad Men
"Mad Men" is a great show about the times when men were men, women were expected to stay at home to raise babies and everybody smoked and littered. What a wonderful life that must've been!
Joh Hamm (left) and
Jason Isaacs (right)
|
A very talented and quite handsome actor Jon Hamm portrays the main character of the show, Don Draper. In my opinin, Hamm bears a striking resemblance to Jason Isaacs ("The Tuxedo", "Brotherhood"). |
Timothy Dalton (left) and Jon Hamm
(right)
Jon Hamm also reminds me of the British actor Timothy Dalton, (whom, by the way, I didn't like in the role of James Bond, but absolutely loved in "Jane Eyre"). |
|
Kevin Sorbo (left) and
Jon Hamm(right)
|
Jon Hamm also bears resemblance to Kevin Sorbo ("Andromeda", "Hercules: The Legendary Journeys"). I think that the upper halves of their faces are really similar, although of different coloring. Note the wrinkle creases in between the eyebrows of both men. |
January Jones (left) and Natasha Henstridge
(right)
| January Jones ("The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada", "We Are Marshall") who plays the wife of Jon Hamm's character, Betty Draper, looks a lot like Natasha Henstridge
("Eli Stone", "Species"). |
|
Christina Hendricks (left) and Lauren Holly
(right)
|
The vivacious red-haired femme fatale Joan Holloway, played by Christina Hendricks bears resemblance to Lauren Holly née Mrs. Jim Carrey ("Picket Fences", "Dumb & Dumber"). Both women have beautiful translucent eyes worthy of Remarque's heroines. |
John Slattery (left) and Ellis Henican
(right)
| John Slattery (who also appeared as Victor Lang on "Desperate Housewives") reminds me of political commentator Ellis Henican who used to play Harper Ellis, a character based upon Henican himself on the animated series "Frisky Dingo". |
|
Elisabeth Moss (left) and
Rachel Weisz (right)
|
Elisabeth Moss plays Peggy Olson, a very intriguing young copy writer at the the Sterling Cooper Ad Agency. The wildly talented and absolutely adorable Moss bears resemblance to one of my favorite British actresses Rachel Weisz ("The Constant Gardener", "The Mummy"). As an artist I've always admired Weisz's unconventional (by the Hollywood Barbie-doll standards) beauty and I was really happy when I discovered yet another actress (Moss) whose facial features go against the movie industry's beauty standards. |
Colin Hanks (left) and Tom Cavanaugh
(right)
| Colin Hanks, who joined the cast of Mad Men as a rock-n-roll loving priest John Gill looks like Tom Cavanaugh ("Eli Stone", "Scrubs"). |
|
Vincent Kartheiser (left) and
Senator Lindsey Graham (right)
|
Vincent Kartheiser, who masterfully portrays Pete Campbell, (a character that I love to hate), looks like Senator Lindsey Graham. |
