Sex and the City celebrity look - alikes
Coming from Ukraine where men and women behave alike when it comes to sexual pursuits I was really amazed that 'Sex and the City' could cause such a stir in the US, a country that I pictured to be very open about human sexuality. Of course, it didn't take me long to figure out that Hollywood movies (that young people in Ukraine tried to imitate) didn't often match the Puritan underbelly of America. At first I was a bit shocked by my discovery, but after a while I realized that there is nothing wrong with a woman behaving like a lady. I wish that when I was a teenager somebody would've told me that being able to retain 'certain' mystery is a quality that men find very attractive in women. It certainly would've spared me a lot of heart break.
Sarah Jessica Parker (left) and Bitty Schram
(right)
Sarah Jessica Parker, the main character of Sex and the City and quintessential real-life fashionista reminds me of Bitty Schram ("A League of Their Own", "Monk"). |

Dmitri Kharatyan (right)

Another person that Ms. Parker reminds me of is Dmitri Kharatyan, a well-known Russian actor. |
Cynthia Nixon (left) and Emily Watson(right)
| Cynthia Nixon, who played Miranda Hobbes on "Sex and the City" looks like one of my favorite actresses Emily Watson. Miranda's character was my least favorite on the show. I just couldn't relate to her. She seemed like a typical irrational woman, who doesn't know what she wants from a guy and acts like a total you-know-who. |

Kristin Davis (left) and Julia Louis Dreyfus

Kristin Davis, known for portraying a well-bred New Yorker Charlotte York resembles Julia Louis Dreyfus, yet another actress whose name will be forever associated with a typical female New Yorker. |
Kim Cattrall (left) and Mary McCormack
(right)
| I think that Mary McCormack ("In plain site", "The West Wing") bears resemblance to Kim Cattrall. I first noticed Kim Cattrall years ago when she appeared alongside Kurt Russell in "Big trouble in Little China". I thought that she was a really attractive woman and was happy to see her again as Samantha Jones, a character that reminded me of Blanche Devereaux, my favorite Golden Girl. |
