The majority of my paintings are done from photos. However, I prefer to use photos as reference as opposed to just mindlessly copying what I see. I believe in creating art, not just some bland enlargement of a person's likeness. I believe that every individual deserves to be immortalized in a unique work of art (an added bonus of having your portrait painted is that you can tell people that you're a 'work of art' and it will actually be true!). I treat every order as an opportunity to make somebody happy because I know that what goes around comes around and the happier my clients are - the happier I'm going to be...

I hope that I have sufficiently convinced you to hire me as your portrait artist, but please don't hesitate to contact me in case you have any additional questions. You can also refer to the list of most frequently asked questions below.

How can I send you the photo? I prefer email. You could email me your photo at artnsus@gmail.com or just mail it to me at: Natasha Sazonova, 19 Cricket Knoll, Wethersfield, CT 06109

What kind of photo should I choose? Please try picking a photo that is large enough for me to be able to see the person's face clearly.  If it's an old photo that you need to scan make sure that you're scanning it at the highest possible resolution. Also, try picking a photo where the person looks as natural and relaxed as possible.

How much do you charge per portrait? The price depends on what kind of work you have in mind and how long it would take me to paint it. Please let me know what type of portrait you have in mind (for example: a traditional oil portrait, 11X14, face and shoulders) and I'll email you with a price quote.

What payment options do you accept? I prefer PayPal, but you could also pay me by a personal check, money order or a credit card.

Do you require a deposit? To protect myself against frivolous orders I require that you prepay 50% of the full cost of the painting before I start working on the project.

What is your refund policy? If you're not happy with the finished project for whichever reason I can either redo the painting or refund your money.

Would I be able to see a finished portrait before you ship it? Absolutely.  Before I ship the painting I always e-mail a photo of the finished portrait for my client's approval.

How long does it take for the painting to be completed? I always do my best to finish the job as soon as humanly possible, however there are other factors that you need to consider, such as that it takes a while for the paint to be completely dry. So even when I can finish your portrait relatively fast it might still be a few weeks before I'm able to ship it to you. Also, please take most holidays, such as Christmas, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day etc. into account, because usually that's the time when I get a lot of orders. Please try to order at least a month in advance before the date you need to receive the finished piece.

I'm local to your area.  Can I pick up the painting in person, so I can avoid additional shipping costs? Yes, we can arrange for a meeting as long as it's around the Greater Hartford area.

Do you ship internationally? Yes, I ship anywhere around the world.

Can you frame the work for me? Yes, as long as you describe what kind of frame you have in mind.
