Rita Rudner

"If a man speaks in the forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?"

"A long marriage is two people trying to dance a duet and two solos at the same time."
Anne Taylor Fleming

"I never knew what real happiness was until I got married, and by then it was too late."

Names: Nathan & Linda McDonald

Profession: Small business owners

Personalities: Hard-working, Friendly

Place of residence: Bar Harbor, Maine

Life story: Nathan and Linda McDonald own a small antique shop in Bar Harbor. They bought it ten years ago after Nathan lost his job as a hotel manager. The shop was bought with the money McDonalds were saving for their retirement, but they don't regret their decision. Both of them feel much happier working for themselves than they ever did working for somebody else. Even though they work six days a week they never feel tired, because their job mostly consists of chatting with customers; something that both McDonalds love doing. However, the couple has been going through a rough period lately, since Linda's mother moved in with them and is driving them crazy with her demands. Their daughter Tilly is in the process of getting a divorce and it makes the older McDonalds worry about the fate of their little granddaughter Karen. Linda is praying that Tilly moves in with her and her husband, so that they can keep an eye on little Karen.
