"A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person."
Germaine Greer
"Love: a temporary insanity, curable by marriage."
Ambrose Bierce
"For two people in a marriage to live together day after day is unquestionably the one miracle the Vatican has overlooked."
Bill Cosby
"It is not a lack of love, but a lack of friendship that makes unhappy marriages."
Friedrich Nietzsche
"Some people claim that marriage interferes with romance. There's no doubt about it. Anytime you have a romance, your wife is bound to interfere."
Groucho Marx
Marcel Proust once wrote: "It is seldom indeed that one parts on good terms, because if one were on good terms one would not part." It’s a nice saying, but fortunately for me it rarely applies to my relationships. I actually managed to part on good terms with the majority of my boyfriends and stayed friends with most of them. I believe that if there was something behind the initial physical attraction that kept two people together it means that there is a certain connection between them that can also make them into good friends and good friends are hard to come by!
